H2: 55487677 PM Sensor Overview
The 55487677 PM Sensor (GM OE# 55487677, Bosch OEM# 0281006540) is an OEM-grade DPF PM Sensor engineered by WJIECO for heavy-duty diesel pickup trucks. Also known as soot sensor, this critical aftertreatment component mounts downstream of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). It detects the concentration of fine particulate soot in exhaust gas leaving the DPF and transmits real-time particulate readings to the ECU. The ECU uses this signal to trigger, regulate and monitor DPF automatic regeneration, which is mandatory for modern diesel emissions compliance.
This 55487677 PM Sensor is designed as a direct factory replacement for these applications: Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra.
If your GM diesel pickup triggers a persistent check engine light, DPF regeneration failure, forced limp mode, soot overload warning or particulate related diagnostic trouble codes, your factory PM Sensor is likely suffering from probe contamination, carbon soot fouling, signal drift or internal circuit aging damage. Replacing the defective original sensor with this direct-fit 55487677 PM Sensor replacement part is a cost-effective solution to restore your diesel aftertreatment system.

H2: OEM-Grade Construction and Strict Factory Testing
Our replacement 55487677 PM Sensor features a precision soot detection probe and reinforced anti-vibration internal circuit module. It is engineered to withstand extreme exhaust temperature, thermal cycling and strong vibration during highway cruising and heavy hauling conditions. The outer protective housing, wiring harness and multi-pin electrical plug connector are fully dimension-matched to GM OEM and Bosch factory specifications, preventing wire cracking, water ingress and intermittent signal dropouts.
Every finished 55487677 PM Sensor unit goes through high-temperature aging testing, soot signal calibration and waterproof sealing inspection before shipment. This quality check eliminates common flaws found in cheap generic sensors, such as unstable particulate readings, slow signal response and early premature failure under high soot loads.
H2: Exact Vehicle Compatibility & Interchange OE Numbers
This DPF downstream 55487677 PM Sensor is a direct replacement for the below diesel pickup models. Interchange Part Numbers: GM OE: 55487677 Bosch OEM: 0281006540 Fitment List: Chevrolet Silverado GMC Sierra
As a core component of modern diesel exhaust aftertreatment system, this 55487677 PM Sensor allows the ECU to evaluate DPF filtration efficiency and manage regeneration cycles. A faulty PM Sensor will block DPF regeneration, trigger limp mode, cause DPF clogging and illuminate the check engine light. Common DTCs include P2452, P2453, P2454, P2463.

H2: Core Benefits of Upgrading to the 55487677 PM Sensor
Replacing your malfunctioning factory DPF soot detector with our pre-calibrated WJIECO 55487677 PM Sensor delivers noticeable reliability improvements and protects expensive diesel particulate filters. Unlike low-cost aftermarket sensors that repeatedly trigger fault codes due to poor calibration, our unit provides steady, accurate soot concentration data for the vehicle ECU.
Reliable sensor measurements enable the engine computer to execute normal DPF regeneration, avoid unplanned limp mode, reduce DPF soot buildup and keep your diesel vehicle compliant with emissions regulations. After installation, you can clear particulate sensor related trouble codes and restore full engine power.
H2: Plug-and-Play Installation, No Dealer Programming Required
A key advantage of this 55487677 PM Sensor is its true plug-and-play design built for compatible GM diesel pickup models. This replacement part requires no ECU reprogramming, manual calibration, wire cutting or complicated mechanical modifications.
Installation works well for both professional repair garages and DIY vehicle owners. Simply remove the old PM Sensor from the exhaust pipe after DPF, apply anti-seize compound on threads, align and screw in the new sensor, reconnect the factory wiring plug, then clear stored fault codes using an OBD diagnostic scanner. After a short normal driving cycle, the DPF aftertreatment system will return to stable operation without recurring warning alerts.
Every WJIECO 55487677 PM Sensor passes complete functional testing before leaving our factory. If you need a durable, high-precision and affordable OEM replacement DPF PM Sensor matching GM OE 55487677 and Bosch OEM 0281006540 for your Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra, our 55487677 PM Sensor is the ideal choice to restore your diesel exhaust aftertreatment system.

WJIECO Diesel sensor –
I installed this WJIECO **55487677 PM Sensor** (part#55487677) on my Chevrolet Silverado diesel. The old DPF PM Sensor triggered check engine light and failed DPF regeneration. Cross references GM OE 55487677 and Bosch OEM 0281006540. Plug and play, no programming required. Cleared fault codes and took a test drive, warning light stayed off. DPF regeneration works normally again. Great build quality and perfect fit.
